Orthodontics emergencies

Sometimes appliances might be broken during orthodontic treatment, such as loose brackets, poking wires, please call our clinic for an appointment during patient hours. In the meantime, there are some good hints to help you remedy some of the problems.

• loose brackets : replace the bracket on the wire and stabilize it with wax
• poking wire : cover it with wax or tuck it under the arch wire with the tip of a pencil eraser
• soft tissue sores : rinse with salt and water and apply wax.(1 cup of warm water and 15ml of salt)
